The Damned Isle is a web based MMORPG* where you can fight creatures, complete quests, develop skills and work with or against other players to advance your character. It is set in a fantasy world populated by all manner of familiar and strange creatures, many of which you can play!

*MMORPG, for those of you who don't know, is a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game

Your character

The sneaky lizard The cunning rat The poisonous snake The clever wolf The sturdy dwarf The wise Elf The hearty Human The fighting Orc The tough Goblin The vicious Spider The wicked Imp The good Halfling

Many of the creatures on The Damned Isle can be played as player characters - though to become one of the more powerful ones you will need to fight your way up. As well as the usual Humans, Elves and Dwarves you can also start out as such beasts as a lowly Rat or wicked Imp. Through the completion of tasks and fighting battles you can gain experience which opens up new paths and powers. You can choose from the standard paths of magician, thief or warrior, each of which carries its own benefits, restrictions and forks in the future. Else you can choose the murkier routes of Bandit, Occultist or Monk, which steal little skills from the other classes.

Other players

The Damned Isle is filled not just by beasts but also by other players and thinking entities. How you interact with them affects how you will be treated and how you progress. Orcs will let other orcs pass, but will attack all Dwarves on sight. Your God should never be forgotten - work for them and be rewarded. Work against them and be punished. Keep an eye on your creature book and player book and see what you have learned and whom you can trust.

The World

The landscape is made up of perilous swamps, dark forests, steep mountains - and also more hospitable places such as inns and villages. Scattered across the land are many strange places and characters, and exploration of the world will bring many rewards. View a screenshot to see how the landscape looks.
